Celery: (bunch)


Celery is crunchy, watery, salty and fibrous. It does add something nice to soups, stocks, sauces, stews, etc, as it blends with carrots and onions to make an amazing aroma and taste in many western dishes where this combination is called mirepoix due to its French origins.

It is also a good source of Riboflavin, Vitamin B6, Pantothenic Acid, Calcium, Magnesium and Phosphorus, and a very good source of Dietary Fiber, Vitamin A, Vitamin C, Vitamin K, Folate, Potassium and Manganese.
